Kimberly-Clark Softex distributed humanitarian aid to community impacted by Mount Semeru

Kimberly-Clark Softex (PT Softex Indonesia) distributed humanitarian aid to community impacted by Mount Semeru eruption in Lumajang, East Java on 10 December 2021. Accompanied by two representatives from Softex Care Club, the company volunteer club, and witnessed by a number of impacted local residents, Assistant Manager General Affair Kimberly-Clark Softex, Mr. Hendra Martana symbolically handed over the relief assistance to the Head of Health Resources of the Lumajang Health Office, Mrs. Indah Kusumawati at Dr. Haryoto Hospital, Lumajang Regency.

The relief assistance comprised of Kimberly-Clark Softex products, namely 200 cartons of Softies masks, 25 cartons of Softies hand sanitizer, 50 cartons of Softex sanitary napkins, and 50 cartons of Sweety baby diapers – All in a total value of Rp. 233,8 million. The aid was aimed to help victims of the Mount Semeru eruption in fulfilling their basic needs, especially baby and maternal necessities, and hygiene products. In addition, assistance was also provided to help prevent the Covid-19 transmission amidst the on-going pandemic.

Further, Kimberly-Clark Softex’s aid will be distributed to 17 emergency shelters in 3 sub-districts by the Lumajang Health Office. We will do our best to assist the victims and very hopeful that the situation will improve soon so that the residents of Lumajang can return to their activities as usual.
