KIMBERLY-CLARK SOFTEX SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETES INSTALLATION OF SOLAR PANELS AT ITS KARAWANG MANUFACTURING FACILITY

Kimberly-Clark Softex’s (PT Softex Indonesia) 4,914 PV modules have been installed in the Karawang Manufacturing facility, aiming to reduce indirect carbon emissions by approximately 2,800 tons per year

Jakarta, January 31, 2023 – Kimberly-Clark Softex announced the completion of the installation of 4,914 solar panel photovoltaic modules on the roof of its flagship Manufacturing Facility in Karawang, West Java, on December 29, 2023. Aligning the Better Care for a Better World purpose, the installation project is stepping toward Kimberly-Clark Softex’s commitment to a cleaner and greener future. This initiative will also support the government’s Million Solar Panel Roofs National Movement, which aims to generate 3.6 gigawatts (GW) of solar energy by 2025.

Kimberly-Clark Softex said that it is carrying out the installation of the solar panels in collaboration with TotalEnergies ENEOS. The installation in Karawang Manufacturing Facility started in May 2023 and has begun operating since December 2023.
